Grace, it happens.
It strays within our souls.
But I keep faith
buried deep within the neglect I hold for my own.
We will be protected
from all the pain we’ve come to bear
because there is a greater power
and He is always there.

How do we hold our heads up
and hold in the tears?
I don't think I'll learn
for another hundred days
or months or years.

So today, we come together
in praise for the family we've made
among the whole and the broken
and that bond will never fade.

My mother
taught me how to dream
and from my father,
I learned to hang on.
But all
of that sweet yet sinful rebellion,
that is simply
my fault.

How do we continue loving
ourselves after all of the mess?
I don’t know if I can handle it,
but He has put me
to the test.
